NEW ECOMMERCE CLIENTS Lyons, CO November 6, 2003 - Sharing ownership and management, two Boulder County companies provide essential marketing products and services to U.S. public broadcasting. VisABILITY is the industry's primary source of imprinted logoware. Peak Fulfillment, the VisABILITY offshoot founded in 2001, provides warehousing, mail fulfillment and ecommerce services - all of which were originally housed in VisABILITY. In October, 2003, NPR's popular talk show Car Talk, featuring philosopher-mechanics Tom and Ray, transferred the last element of its online retail store to Peak Fulfillment. "Since its 1996 launch, we have operated the store's product development, inventory management, order processing, customer service and shipping functions. But the store's shopping cart was hosted on servers in Boston, along with the rest of Car Talk's website. Now we can enhance operating efficiencies by putting the cart with the rest of the program's ecommerce operation here at Peak Fulfillment" said company president Robert Auman. Other new clients include the online store for public radio and TV station WHYY/Philadelphia and a store for one of NPR's premier interview programs - Fresh Air with Terry Gross. VisABILITY provides public broadcasting with products bearing the licensed brands of a notable clientele - Morning Edition, NPR News, A Prairie Home Companion, This American Life, All Things Considered, Marketplace, and dozens of other national programs. It also supplies several hundred stations with custom items featuring their own logos. Products range from mugs, tote bags and T-shirts to Bobbleheads of Beethoven and NPR's Carl Kasell. The Minnesota Orchestra even commissioned VisABILITY to develop the world's first Orchestral Bobble-arm, a 3-D caricature baton-waving tribute to conductor Osmo Vanska. The company's primary clients are several hundred stations plus 50 non-broadcast organizations. Peak Fulfillment's ecommerce clients include programs broadcast by PBS, NPR and the BBC as well as non-broadcast organizations like the Jewish Heritage Video Collection and the Association of Junior Leagues International. The company is also the mail fulfillment center for contributor premiums used by 100 public radio and TV stations.
